Job Description: HCL International are currently recruiting for Intensive Care Nurses for exciting and challenging roles for a hospital based in Perth, Australia.
As specialists in placing permanent healthcare professionals in positions right across the globe, HCL International will fully support you throughout the entire recruitment and relocation process.
These positions are responsible for providing a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to individuals/patients of varying ages and cultural groups within the hospital/facility.
The Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, assess, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals /patients/their families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes. The RN will take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care and work in partnership with Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) providing supervision, direction and guidance.
The RN will provide education, support and guidance to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs.
The RN will work as part of the health care team, adhere to site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the unit /ward, participate in working parties or committees as required, demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, Occupational Health and Safety, achievement of hospital/facility accreditation and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
The RN will maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Mandatory qualifications:
Registered with the Nurses Board relevant to the state of employment
Current practicing certificate
Desirable qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
Post graduate qualification in relevant field of specialty
12 months experience in an accredited post-graduate nursing program.
Job competencies:
Clinical competence in nursing practice
Practice according to evidence-based nursing and latest contemporary practices in nursing
Ability to manage shift work
Ability to supervise/guide Enrolled Nurses, Graduates, Students
Ability to provide education, support and guidance to patients and their families
Awareness of available community resources and initiates referrals as identified
Able to establish a professional working relationship with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) / General Practitioners (GPs)
Maintain safe work environment and practice
Ability to communicate clearly and document legibly
Willingness to seek assistance/guidance when unsure
Provision of hands-on nursing care
Recognition and respect of individuals/patients cultural backgrounds and spiritual needs, religious beliefs and the individualism of persons/patients.
